Nissan Qashqai 2014, testing and first contact with the best-seller. How has it changed?
Does anyone doubt that this is one of the releases of the year? The Nissan Qashqai faces a second generation with much optimism, two million units manufactured to date and unparalleled success in Europe and especially in countries like Spain, where even the edge of the cessation of commercial life of its first generation remained among the best sellers. In an environment with which we were so familiar we could not avoid that feeling of deja vu, thinking that nothing had changed, even in this new Qashqai, but the fact is that everything has changed, or at least all those aspects of some improvement expected. I apologize for the cliché, but this new Nissan Qashqai is the same as ever, even better than ever.
The first big change is obvious: aesthetics
It maintains its proportions, its concept of compact on-high crossover with features and a front with lots of personality.
Nissan knows that the customer buys the eyes, a pleasing aesthetic is crucial for you to take a car home. With that premise, the exterior renovation of the Qashqai was really important. In the broad strokes just they were assumed risks, its silhouette was preserved and proportions, although it is now a little longer (+47 mm), wider (+20 mm) and low (+15 mm). And yet and with that, the Qashqai is also lighter. Nissan expects the N-TEC is the finish most demanded by customers (half of sales in Spain) and Tekna takes 25% of sales. Honestly, anyone who wants a well equipped Qashqai would recommend at least one N-TEC, although as we mentioned above, the Acenta is more than enough to cover all the basic equipment of a model with these features.
Before dismissing this first part of our making contact with the Nissan Qashqai will remember that this model can benefit from the updated Plan PIVE, with which to launch promotion prices mentioned above have to be added another 1,000 euros (if we are beneficiaries of PIVE).
