Can Google Monetize YouTube Before It Has to Sell It?

This is the question on everyone’s mind right now as it has been made public that YouTube costs Google $1.65 million a day. Of course, Google is a gigantic company with hundreds of billions of dollars, so YouTube is not going to clean out its pockets within a month, but it is still very clearly a problem. There are many ways in which YouTube could be monetized, such as following the Hulu model, which is already profitable.
