Contenture, the start up that is trying to bring Freemium to the Internet, has changed its launch date. When Techcrunch posted its article on the new company, Contenture had been planning on launching on May 21st. Then, when Alex Wilhelm posted Contenture’s first blog post, he wrote that they will be launching on May 26th. I got a hold of Alex to confirm this, and the date has in fact changed to May 26th. This is also confirmed by their new home page, and their second blog post describing the process of setting up Contenture in more detail.
Setting up Contenture will be easy. You insert javascript onto your webpage, and Contenture will track when someone comes to your website. At the end of the month when the user pays, the money will be distributed amongst the sites based on how often they visit a certain site.
