G1 v2 – The Android King Has Come?

When talking about the Android OS, the problems leveled against it usually come in the form of problems with the T-Mobile G1 handset as opposed to problems with Android itself. “It’s clunky” or “the battery life is bad” are two of the most common. But that might all change. On what seems to be a leaked T-Mobile timeline for this year, there seems to be indication of a new handset called the G1 V2, codenamed Bigfoot. Rather than a plain G1 with maybe a better battery, the  Bigfoot appears to be a sleeker, svelter version of its older brother. The majority of the other Android phones that have been announced, such as the Samsung I7500, are touchscreen only, whereas the refreshed G1 keeps a tactile keyboard. If Bigfoot can follow through on the promise of its appearance, would you keep one in your pocket?

  5. Battery life was definitely the biggest downfall for the Android. From the looks of it, this new “Bigfoot” looks sleeker and nice. I don’t know about the name choice, I feel like it will not be popular, but I will definitely keep an eye out within the next few weeks.
