We all have that one relative that hates the “new fangled” technology out there and refuses to move past traditional means of communication, A.K.A. the telephone or snail mail. So how do we get important information to them without sacrificing our time and our means of communication? That is where Sunnygram comes in, a service where the “e-mail meets the inbox”.
The implementation of the idea is very simple, all you have to do is email a specific address with your message and Sunnygram mails out the email message in newsletter format. Once the person you sent it to recieves your email/newsletter they can respond back in one of two ways:
1. Through a pre-postage stamped letter which will be scanned and emailed to you.
2. They can call a Sunnygram telephone number and leave you a voice message for you.
What is awesome about Sunnygram is that while some waiting has to be done to get a response you can both communicate with each other in the environments you prefer. Since this service does have immediate charges that go along with it to mail the newsletter you have to pay ten dollars a month to use the service, a price I am considering to pay. What I would like though is a charge-per-basis model but we have to give it up to a web service that actually has a business model. It will be interesting to see if Sunnygram’s idea will actually work.
