Loic Le Meur Pulled A Doozy Over Arrington

By Holden Page on June 15, 2009

Gizmodo did a post on the up and coming Crunchpad with a neat “unboxing” video.  I have never understood the point of a stupid unboxing of the product, but I am also not into gadgets all that much, so maybe I just don’t understand the concept. This unboxing video though sure made Arrington a little bit testy.

The video was posted by Loic Le Meur who Chandra falsely assumed would keep the recording under wraps since Arrington and Loic were friends. This was totally silly for Chandra to assume this of course, anything tech related and touchscreen would have to be posted on the web, no matter who you are. Though in Chandra’s defense, if Loic presented himself as just Arrington’s friend who wanted to take a look that is fairly sneaky and is, in my mind, abusing a friends trust.

I hope that Loic and Arrington are on or going to be on good terms. They are both fairly prominent and very open people in the tech world and it would be a shame for them to keep on bad terms because of this. As for the Crunchpad video, it has been taken down, but I can honestly tell you it is the exact same thing, if not less, than you have already seen from Techcrunch officially. As for me, hopefully I can get my hands on one A.S.A.P. cause I have been pumped for it ever since Arrington announced it.
