Archos Android Tablet Coming In September

By Holden Page on July 3, 2009

A lot of people are talking about netbooks and Android, yet no one has made a serious jump into the mainstream even though many of us expected it. The first to move away from Android’s mobile roots is the Archos Tablet.

As you can see the one pictured above is running Windows 7, the current one running Android has not been seen. The Windows 7 version will be released at a later date due to Windows 7 current release date, October 22.

This is great news for Android as a platform and for developers. If this is met with relative success you can be sure that many other companies will be jumping all over this spreading the Android love. It will also be nice to see Android be released on this product before Windows  7 giving Android a head start.
