Good news for the masses waiting to get into Google Wave, more invites are coming. Google has so far released around 6,000 invites to a special selection of developers around the nation. Mostly these were pulled from major Google conferences and the like. Fair enough, developer friends of mine that have Wave have been bragging about it since the very first movie came out. But now the floodgates are going to be opened for you and me.
Over the next month, over 20,000 more invites are going to be sent out. Come September 30th, 100,000 invites are going to hit the internet. If Google uses a Gmail like system to give out access, it is unclear exactly how many invites Google will give out directly. But, they are coming, and they are going to sizzle. While we might not see them on Ebay like we have in the past for some product launches, this is clearly an anticipated launch.
