YouNoodle, a company claiming the godlike power of judging how far along a startup is with brainiac algorithms this weeks #WorstIdeaSoFar. Of course, our good buds over at TechCrunch are behind it, so we’ll at least drop them the benefit of the doubt. The list, the top 100 tech companies in Europe as ranked by YouNoodle, is a constantly updating list of the top 100 companies in Europe.
Let’s talk about YouNoodle though. If it takes a whole firm of VC’s to figure out where the hell and what a startup is worth, how the f*** can an algorithm do it accurately? I mean, hell, traffic is great, but can if figure out the cost per user given server load, and the runway to profitability? Of course not. My take away: this list is far less useful than sorting them by total traffic. At least that data is mildly accurate via Compete.
For whatever reason, YouNoodle it is. Tip: ignore the list.
