Aardvark Gets an iPhone App

By Michael Klurfeld on September 15, 2009

aardvark_img1Aardvark, for those who don’t know, is a social question and answer service that we at TG have been using for a while. One of the things missing for a bit was that Aardvark, though great for mobile, didn’t have an application out – I had been using it via email and my iPhone’s IM client. Well, Aardvark announced that their mobile app has hit the Apple App Store.

Now this is pretty cool. The app has push notification, but it goes beyond standard IM push. You get to see exactly which one of your questions was answered. That’s useful because you can immediately know if you’ve received your answer yet. I’ve been out and about a few times waiting for Aardvark to get back to me on a question about a restaurant. Now when that info comes in, I know right away.

I know not everyone is in Aardvark yet, but TechGeist does have some invites left which we can send to some of you guys. Leave a comment and we’ll see what we can do (we can’t invite everyone).

You can get the Aardvark application here.
