FluidHTML is launching a new markup language for dynamically generating Flash content. It is built akin to HTML and generates rich media website and applications that still (even with the new language) are compatible with all the major browsers. I assume that they are not including IE8, in the meantime.
The company claims to love flash, but not the way that you have to work with it. It annoys so many people, that even Viacom has all but dropped it. The company wants to make flash “work like the rest of the internet.” They put a screen online that looked just like HTML, but in fact was supposed to render flash. Then their website went down.
Not good.
“Generate flash dynamically from markup” they said, as their demo came back to life. Ron Conway dodged yet another awkward question, when they got their website back online. They want to fix flash, making it simpler for search engines to index flash content. Not bad for the flash heavy website that is looking for Google love. In fact, you cannot deep link to flash, making SEO difficult. With FluidHTML your problem, is gone.
The largest problem that they are going to have, is too get developers to try this. They have made it simple to get on board, but trying leading a developer to water and get him to drink. They will need a small pile of money to pull that off.
They have taken the best part of HTML and applied it to flash. You are going to want to take a look at this company.
