We have all been there: seven people around a conference table with a whiteboard covered in notes. The meeting ends and everyone shuffles out quietly, unsure of what exactly they are supposed to do. The following morning 14 emails spread out among the team, asking who is doing what, and the point was. It is a problem, and one that could use a solution past Omnigraffle. Enter RapidInfluence.
RapidInfluence, a browser based, paid, SAAS solution is a tool set to take your plan to implementation. Think of it as the tool that takes the whiteboard scribbles and turns them into tasks, no small feat. The Boston, Mass, startup claims to have the exact tools needed to make a plan real. I took a look.
The product itself “works by linking together strategic initiatives and plan elements with their action items, providing a simple implementation process that can be monitored and reported on ensuring that strategic plans are acted upon and completed as quickly as possible.” The product breaks down your corporate dither into a set of strategic initiatives which are then analyzed, broken into elements, assigned, and then analyzed for cost. Simply put, at the end, you have an executable path to your vision.
The company, around for less than a year, seems to be off to a slow start. RapidInfluence is wildly active on its Twitter account, but in the companies eight month history, they have yet to even generate a Compete ranking. Compete simply has not note of them. A worry for a SAAS company. However, everything takes time. The company is surely working in an important space, and will no doubt reach its audience and bring them into the fold, if it can get the correct word into the proper channels. We will be keeping on RapidInfluence over the coming months.
