RefMob is approaching the referral business as a middleman of sorts. According to the company’s presenter, referrals bring in a whole lot of business, but the programs are kind of painful to set up. Enter RefMob to do it for you.
Essentially, all users have to do is log into RefMob, enter some pretty simple data, and bam, your program is made. Like everything these days, the site has social integration in the form Facebook and Twitter outreach. The site itself reminds me of DonorsChoose.org, which is nice.
As much as I hate referral programs, this is sort of interesting. The social integration is what gives RefMob a leg up. I know that if Alex Wilhelm tweets out some referral, it’s probably not too painful on me, plus whatever I out of it will probably at least be sort of interesting.
The panelists seem to think it’s a good idea, but all around I’m getting feelings of meh.
