Volkswagen Passat CC finally five seats
He Volkswagen Passat CC is a sedan and coupe air know too. It has a much more streamlined design than conventional Passat but also some inconvenience, as we see it: just four seats.
For many it is an advantage because it favors freedom of movement for rear passengers, as well as does the Volkswagen Scirocco. However it is also a drawback for the client who has a family and likes the design of the Passat CC but needs that extra square. Volkswagen has decided to expand the market by presenting the Five-seater Passat CC.
This Extra third place the second row is located in the central space and It includes a headrest smaller than the other rear seat, towards the driver's visibility I guess. Disappears is naturally the central compartment was between the two seats and removable armrest for use is maintained when the square is not occupied.
I assail doubts about comfort, since the seat the central form of the line remains intact and does not seem to be made to accommodate either the body, and the viewing angle lose the driver in the rearview interior. The cost of the third seat is 100 euros for Germany, which is relatively inexpensive in proportion to the benefit it brings. For Spain we know neither the price nor the time when it will be available.
This move clearly corresponds to a market opening but possibly it was something that could have launched earlier, because I'm sure there are customers for the two options (four or five places) but maybe for that little extra cost many opt for the version for five passengers along the famous excuse of "just in case".
(*) Updated 29-01-2010: The price for Spain's third rear seat of the Passat CC range between 125 and 130 euros.
