I-PACE Jaguar Concept, red passion, seems an even more realistic electric crossover
Jaguar is preparing a major launch, its first electric crossover. Except surprise, Jaguar I-PACE will be called. Because it is a name that fits perfectly with their names - see the other SUV of the house, the Jaguar F-PACE - and because it is called the prototype in question, the I-PACE Jaguar Concept 2017 which will be presented, dressed in red Proton at the Geneva Motor Show. A new mission statement that shows that Jaguar was not bluffing when he said he wanted the next member of its SUV range were a real electric car.
The arrival of Jaguar I-PACE is expected in 2018. And this new iteration of its - for now - prototype shows that the British brand plans do not stop and that their interest, to attract potential customers, and the press, it is based on an increasingly upcoming release. The presentation of this updated version, and perhaps even closer to a final product, will be held at the Geneva Motor Show, where besides its European premiere will occur.
We also know that, except surprise, the final version of I-PACE will be very close to the design we already see in this prototype.
The Jaguar I-PACE, on the other hand, is seen as a fusion segment. It is a hatchback and five-door, but also with a design behind a slight drop ceiling to a more typical of what you expect in a coupe or a sedan inclined gate. On the other hand, height, high waist, his broad wheel arches are more typical of what you would expect in an SUV.
If a true advance to the Jaguar I-PACE end, the prototype also anticipated some clues its mechanics. Jaguar gave this car a system of electric motors with 400 horsepower, enough to accelerate from 0 to 100 km / h in 4 seconds. On the other hand, would have a lithium battery pack 90 kWh, enough to travel 500 kilometers (NEDC homologated).
Now the million dollar question remains the following, do you see you soon with your final dress?
