Here at Techgeist, what we value are opinions and analysis on what’s happening in the world of technology. And we think that a lot of you reading our site probably have thoughts you’d like to express. So we invite you to do so in an open editorial. If we publish your article, we will attach your name along with a tagline about you and a link to your website (assuming you want us to).
Not all articles will get published, but we will not alter what you send to us. With that in mind, there are a few guidelines to follow to raise your chances of seeing your work on the site.
- Edit thoroughly before submitting. If your article contains a lot of typos or grammatical errors (beyond what can be considered a mere component of your writing style), chances are we won’t publish.
- Try to keep the writing mostly professional. Snark and voice are fine so long as your piece is not profanity-laden.
- DO NOT ADVERTISE A PRODUCT. Reviews are fine, but don’t review a product you helped to build. If you try to submit an ad as an editorial, odds are we won’t ever give you a second chance.
- While not necessary, we encourage you to find a picture to go along with your piece of writing. So long as you have a proper accreditation, we’ll run the piece with the picture.
You don’t have to side with us to have your work published. If you’re being reasonable, you’re free to argue against any earlier work published on Techgeist. Also keep in mind that Techgeist Open Editorials is for actual editorials. If you just want to tip a piece of news to us, do so via the Tip A Story page.
Phew. Now that’s out of the way. Send your submissions via email to the address below.
